If it's really connecting form some other app then we assume the
drivers for the keyspan are working. But I might still want to run a
repair permissions just to be sure they are properly setup.
You're a command line capable guy ;) can you check the permissions on
the isf's themselves? Inside the XTension bundle and then the Contens
folder and then the pitchers folder. They should all be read/write/
execute for the current user and/or group. I've never seen execute
permissions just disappear from something that is running, but I've
seen then get stripped off by dropping a command line app through
iChat or something like that. It's worth a check anyway. Since the ISF
is quitting without sending any message at all it likely means that
it's not able to run at all. If the serial port was just missing then
they do at least try to alert you to that fact before shutting down.
