I'm sure it wasn't they update, but that little trick Apple seems to
have learned from up North - requiring a reboot after updating the
browser. Anyway, here's what I've tried:
Another reboot (at least twice),
reselecting the interfaces (same names)
reseting the Keyspan (unplug the USB cable from the keyspan to the
computer and plugging it back in)
swapping out the Keyspan with another one
I checked connecting to the cm11 casually using the screen command -
seems to connect fine. I don't know what baud or commands, but
connecting at 2400 and hitting the carraige return resulted in a
single ? for each keypress and that was enough for me to come to the
conclusion that it appeared to be talking to me.
Both the CM11 and the WF800 are dead in the water. Here is the log
from startup:

I also have a Keyspan USA28 connected to that computer using the same
Belkin hub. On this I have a Davis Weather Wizard and a Hot Little
Therm which I access using some simple shell scripts and they both
appear to be working fine. It seems to be the specific to the Keyspan
USA49 and XTension.
Any suggestions welcome.
