X10 weirdness

Chuck,

If you don't mind the smell (which will go away eventually) you will 
likely find that if it passes power then it still works as well as ever.

My spouse ran her Iron on a extension that was plugged into a 5 amp filter 
and quit when she saw the smoke.

I now have a ups plugged into it.  :-)
