Hi Phil,

I haven't taken apart the anemometer on mine, but if it's as simple in  
design as the rain sensor and other parts replacing the reed switch  
should be pretty easy. My rain gage has never worked reliably so if  
you plan to upgrade to a hall effect sensor I'd love to hear about the  
details when you're done.
