Recommendations for Room Temperature Sensors

I'm interested!

I'm trying to build an automation solution for monitoring my solar  
hot water. I want to measure 2 points (incoming/outgoing) on each of  
2 loops (solar/water) and perhaps the tank temperature, and your  
hardware/scripting project looks like it could save me some research  
time.
