a fix for problems with usb in 10.4.7

Nope - no iSub .... but mine isn't a quicksilver either ...
I have a late model G4 tower MirrorDriveDoors, with a PCI USB card and
a g3Stealth serial card that I used to run xtension with ... been
running it with USB directly for quite a while.
The only change was those weird powered clear globe speakers with the
funky 4 pin mini-phone jack. With them plugged in - slow boot.  With
them unplugged, regular boot.

Its regular and repeatable ...
