Hello Grant,

It's really not the PR511 that is the problem, but rather the HCA-02
that has been causing problems with all sorts of other devices and
interfaces... even the new CM15a is buggered by it.

But if you must buy the HCA-02, then you should know that the
X10 version of the PR511 does not play well with it. They can
get into a deadly embrace which requires that one or the other
be power-cycled to break the embrace.

Same thing goes for the LynX-PLC, and even the RR-501 and
TM-751 RF transceivers (to a lesser degree)

Although I am still unhappy with the CR-230 that I recently
bought and installed, I was very happy with the first three
of them that I used before I bought the HCA-02 which lived
far too long for my liking... I have a lightning problem here
and that power pole seems to get some part of every strike.

But, as unhappy as I am with the signal strength of the new
CR-230, it does seem to be behaving itself with the PR511's
and the LynX-PLC that I have started to resurrect ...

My suggestion would be to buy the CR-230 and use your PR511s
and LynX-PLC and just avoid the problems that the HCA-02
brings with it.

is that what you needed ?
michael
